On Friday December 9th, Governor Larry Hogan and Mayor Catherine Pugh gathered at the Madison Park North Apartments to Announce Project C.O.R.E. funding awards providing the necessary funds to help eliminate blight in Baltimore City.
Starting with the infamous “Murder Mall”, MCB Real Estate and MLR Partners celebrated the beginning of demolition on the site making way for a mixed-use community complete with a technology and incubator facility, retail, supermarket, 300-500 apartments and a health care facility, all in proximity to the John Eager Howard School now under construction.
Over 100 people gathered, despite frigid temperatures, to learn the new plans of Madison Park North and see the buildings fall making the planned transformation of West Baltimore into an “Innovation District” and city-wide area of opportunity closer to becoming a reality.
