MCB Real Estate has added thirty-year retail real estate veteran — Drew Gorman.  Drew will lead MCB’s retail development platform and bolster its retail acquisitions and leasing groups.

Drew Gorman’s experience stretches across all facets of the commercial real estate industry with a specific focus on shopping center development.  Prior to joining MCB, Gorman served as a Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for ECHO Realty. At ECHO, Gorman was in charge of expanding the company’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the United States through the acquisition / redevelopment and ground-up new development of supermarket-anchored shopping centers.  Mr. Gorman joined ECHO in 2012, where he oversaw the acquisition and/or development of 30 shopping centers totaling nearly 3 million square feet.  At the beginning of 2020, Mr. Gorman transitioned to a consultant for ECHO, focusing efforts on ECHO’s acquisition and development pipeline. 

Prior to his time at ECHO Realty, Mr. Gorman spent 10 years with North Carolina based Faison Enterprises as a Managing Partner where he was responsible for all leasing and sales activities for the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic region.

In 2010, Mr. Gorman co-founded Westmoreland Partners, a privately held, retail real estate and advisory company specializing in the acquisition, redevelopment and repositioning of distressed assets and select ground-up development.

Mr. Gorman has a M.B.A. degree from Loyola College in Baltimore and a B.S. degree from Towson University. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
