MCB Co-founder Peter Pinkard Named to The Daily Record’s Prestigious ICON Honors
MCB Real Estate proudly announces that Co-founder and Managing Partner Peter Pinkard has been named a 2025 ICON Honors recipient by The Daily Record.
The ICON Honors program recognizes Maryland leaders over the age of 60 who have achieved notable professional success, demonstrated deep community commitment, and provided visionary leadership that drives job creation and long-term positive impact across the state.
Pinkard was selected for his decades-long dedication to Maryland’s business community, his sustained philanthropic involvement, and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders. At MCB, he leads the firm’s asset advisory, leasing, and disposition strategies, drawing on extensive experience in retail development, leasing, and construction across all retail property types. Prior to co-founding MCB, Pinkard built a national reputation by specializing in the repositioning of distressed assets for institutional clients.
Within MCB, Pinkard’s expertise has played a critical role in the firm’s growth and success, while his influence extends far beyond individual projects. His work has consistently contributed to Baltimore’s revitalization, helping to unlock new opportunities, attract investment, and strengthen communities through thoughtful redevelopment and long-term vision.
Established in 2017, the ICON Honors program celebrates individuals who serve as role models by bridging professional achievement with meaningful civic engagement—qualities that Pinkard has demonstrated throughout his career. His approach to development reflects a deep belief in Baltimore’s potential, with each project serving as an opportunity to reimagine underutilized spaces and create lasting value for investors, tenants, and the communities they serve.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Pinkard remains deeply engaged in civic and educational leadership. He currently serves as Chair of University Properties at the University of Baltimore and previously served on the University’s Board of Visitors from 2000 to 2012. He is also an active board member of both the France-Merrick Foundation and the Avalon Foundation, contributing his expertise to advance their missions and community impact.
The ICON Honors recognition follows Pinkard’s earlier selection as a 2025 Influential Marylander by The Daily Record, further reinforcing his lasting influence on Maryland’s real estate industry and his broader contributions to the region.
