P. David Bramble Honored as 2025 Business Leader of the Year by Loyola University Maryland
Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management named P. David Bramble, co-founder and managing partner of MCB Real Estate, as the 2025 Business Leader of the Year. The award recognizes business executives who embody Loyola’s Jesuit commitment to community and service through visionary leadership.
The event, held at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, celebrated Bramble’s decades-long contributions to real estate, the Baltimore community, and the broader business landscape.

Reflecting on the honor, Bramble shared a powerful message about leadership and collective responsibility:
“All of us here, ALL OF US, have to lean in to continue the progress. This is our job. This is our city. Nobody is coming to save it. We must harness the talent, the innovation, and the opportunity around us, and together, we will build a future that’s stronger, smarter, and more vibrant than ever. I am all in, MCB is all in and we are just getting started.”
Mary Ann Scully, MBA ’79, dean of Sellinger, praised Bramble’s impact:
“David Bramble is a visionary community builder who has recognized the power of real estate development to transform not just neighborhoods but the lives of those who live, work, and visit them. He is deeply committed to leveraging diverse perspectives to create truly inclusive environments. We are delighted and proud to honor him and recognize the impact of his leadership on the Baltimore area through his work at MCB Real Estate and throughout his career.”
Bramble has spent more than 20 years in real estate investment. At the helm of MCB Real Estate, a privately held firm managing $3.3 billion in assets, he oversees more than 17 million square feet of commercial space nationwide, with an additional 6 million square feet under development. Under his leadership, MCB has driven transformative projects such as Viva White Oak, Reservoir Square, and Harborplace, reshaping communities while promoting economic growth.
A corporate and real estate attorney by training, Bramble focuses on sourcing and capitalizing transactions and overseeing project underwriting and execution. His approach combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to the communities his projects serve.
Loyola President Terrence M. Sawyer, J.D., highlighted Bramble’s dedication:
“Leaders play a critical role in shaping the future of our city and region, and David Bramble’s passion for promoting healthy growth in Baltimore is unparalleled. His creative, strategic work in real estate development reflects not just his extensive expertise but also his commitment to strengthening the communities he knows and cares about deeply.”
Beyond his professional achievements, Bramble actively contributes to nonprofit, civic, and cultural organizations. He serves as chairman of Lendistry, is on the investment committee and board of the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation, and holds leadership positions with Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, UPENN Institute for Urban Research, Baltimore Tree Trust, the Abell Foundation, and the Greater Baltimore Committee, among others.

Bramble’s leadership and vision have earned wide recognition. In 2025 alone, he was named one of Maryland’s 100 Most Influential Leaders by The Daily Record, received the Anthony Overton Entrepreneur Trailblazer Award, the Reginald Lewis Titan Award, and the MET Gala Community Impact Award.
