Daniel Taub is the Sr. Managing Director and Head of Retail at MCB Real Estate, where he leads the firm’s national retail platform and strategy. He brings over 25 years of experience in retail investment, operations, and leadership across some of the industry’s most prominent institutions.
Most recently, Mr. Taub served as Senior Vice President and National Director of Retail at Marcus & Millichap, overseeing a team of more than 400 investment sales professionals across North America. In this role, he directed the advisory and execution of retail property sales spanning single-tenant net-leased assets to large, institutionally owned multi-tenant shopping centers.
Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Taub spent over two decades at DLC Management Corp., where he held a range of senior leadership positions, including Associate, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, Chief Operating Officer, and ultimately President. During his tenure, he was responsible for acquiring approximately $2 billion in retail shopping centers and overseeing all aspects of DLC’s operations, including asset and property management, leasing, construction, IT, HR, legal, marketing, and administration across five regional offices nationwide. He also coordinated corporate insurance programs and managed environmental compliance across the portfolio.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Taub worked on business and legal matters for Savoy Pictures. He is an active member of ICSC and has served in numerous leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Open Air Committee, Founding Chair of the MOCIAL Conference, and Chair of the RECon Advisory Board.
Mr. Taub earned his BS in Economics from Boston University and completed the Real Estate Management Program at Harvard Business School.
