With a proven track record in sourcing acquisitions that deliver strong returns for MCB and its investors, Don Brenneman brings extensive expertise to his role. Prior to MCB, Don served as a Director of Acquisitions for Alex. Brown Realty, a real estate investment manager based in Baltimore focused on value-add transactions in the middle market space. During a twenty-one-year career at Alex. Brown Realty, Don also served the firm as an asset manager. For the past fourteen years, Don was a member of the acquisitions group, tasked with placing client capital via limited partnership investments into joint ventures with real estate operators. Over that time, Don invested client capital into transactions totaling over $500 million in a number of markets, both primary and secondary, spanning the United States. While playing a critical role in expanding Alex. Brown Realty’s operating partner network, Don positioned the firm for quality investing across multiple property sectors and markets.
Before joining Alex. Brown Realty, Don started his career in the real estate department of a national staffing company, Allegis Group. On behalf of the firm, procured office space through site selection and lease negotiation in markets around the United States.
Don holds a Master’s in Finance from Loyola College in Maryland and a BA in Economics from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland.
