Marty joined MCB Real Estate in November of 2019 and has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate with an emphasis on retail properties. As Head of Property Management, he oversees the Regional Directors, Controller, Lease Administration Manager and Operations Systems Manager for all commercial property managed owned and managed by MCB as well as all third party property management accounts. MCB Property management has grown from under 3 million square feet to our current volume of nearly 12 million square feet of commercial properties.
Prior to joining MCB, Marty was working for JLL to manage its Columbia offices’ retail property portfolio consisting of 60 properties in nearly 3 million square feet. Prior to JLL, Marty worked with various clients to analyze markets for retail opportunities, represented specialty food and retail operators, and worked to merchandise and lease various retail properties in Maryland.
Marty also worked with a Baltimore based developer as its Vice President – Operating Properties developing a property management team with over 3 million square feet of commercial property, and producing asset sales of nearly $110 million. Marty also worked in Hawaii managing and leasing approximately 1.5 million square feet of major retail properties, including a $16 million renovation program, and developed a remerchandising program enhancing center’s sales by over 90%. Marty began his career with The Rouse Company at Harborplace in Baltimore, and developed a strategy to that substantially improved the property’s financial performance during a substantial downturn of consumer traffic from a decline in Baltimore’s convention and tourism business in the mid 90’s. Marty holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson University, and an inactive CPA.
