Jarnell Swecker is the driving force behind MCB’s business-to-business, corporate brand, and business-to-consumer marketing strategy. She leads her division’s vision and operations, creating and executing innovative storytelling techniques, communications, and partnership strategies to increase awareness of MCB’s value to investors and the community. With an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and over 20 years of experience in driving community change, revenue generation, strategic planning, and marketing, Swecker brings diverse and innovative strategies gained from her work in corporate, commercial real estate, higher education, and government sectors.
With a background in non-profit and commercial real estate sectors, including roles as Head of Partnerships at Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream and Senior VP at United Way of Central Maryland, she brings over 20 years of experience in driving community change and strategic communication. Prior to United Way, she served as Vice President of Marketing for Rappaport, a commercial real estate developer, manager, and brokerage firm committed to enhancing neighborhoods through thoughtful retail real estate strategy. Previously, she developed communications and programs that benefited vulnerable public housing residents and struggling small U.S. manufacturers. Swecker also drove the mid-Atlantic automotive field marketing strategy for XM Radio and continues to utilize the skills acquired as a 4-time national championship competitive cheerleading coach at the University of Maryland.
