Trail oversees all sourcing, underwriting, and the completion of due diligence activities for new acquisition opportunities. He serves as Principal & Chief Investment Officer of MCB Real Estate, having previously held roles as Senior Investment Associate and Vice President of Acquisitions since joining the company in 2012. Trail has led acquisition efforts for numerous projects encompassing commercial office, retail, warehouse/industrial spaces, and multifamily.
Trail brings more than 19 years of diversified experience in institutional asset management, acquisitions, and dispositions across multiple asset classes and geographies. At COPT Defense Properties, he managed acquisitions of Class ‘A’ commercial office properties and oversaw dispositions of non-core assets in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., region. As an Analyst – Asset Management for PNC Realty Investors, he was responsible for analyzing a $1.3 billion portfolio of commercial office, retail, and industrial properties.
In 2023, Trail was recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 by the Baltimore Business Journal.
Trail earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Master of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for NAIOP Maryland.
